Chalet has been fun, with all the nonsense dunking and playing games through the night. * How many people out there do you think derive happiness from one other's misfortune? Schadenfreude, as some people would say. People who feel happy that they're not somebody else who is seemingly worse than the former. You see, that's the problem with making comparisons with others. Making your own worth relative the another person's means that you are in absolutely no control of the value of your own life! Do we want that? Anyway I found some terms which kinda fit into the whole picture. Happiness in another's fortune: Sympathetic joy Happiness in another's misfortune: Schadenfreude Unhappiness in another's fortune: Envy Unhappiness in another's misfortune: Pity, Empathy
